Phillip Don Estridge is attributed with making the first publicly available PC; the IBM PC. He graduated from Bishop Kenny High School in 1955 and then attained a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at the University of Florida in 1959. In 1980, Phillip became the manager of a division at IBM with 15 people and net zero revenue. By 1985, his division had 10,000 employees and a annual revenue $4.5 billion.
